For this article I was asked to provide reasons that Macs are better than PC's. In retrospect I would have liked to debate the assumption by Jason Garland that "in the business world Microsoft is the clear winner". The fact is that Microsoft is not a 'clear winner' in anything at the moment. Windows tablet products have failed miserably with Apple iOS and Android the clear leaders. In fact, there are over 300,000 apps available now for Apple iOS devices (iPad/iphone/iPod). And, when you consider that most business users only need Email, Internet, Word, Excel and Powerpoint – which all run natively on the Mac – there is no need to run Windows. Stating that Microsoft has better "enterprise and business support" is also mostly irrelevant as most Apple products don't require as much support, therefore saving businesses on paying for onging support. Finally... Mac OSX is an easy operating system to master so there is very little re-training required for most users. Because the new OSX Lion operates in many ways like the iPhone/iPod/iPad iOS, young users already know what to expect!
PS. I am guessing Microsoft has kept it's shares in Apple because the writing is on the wall
